Character Design Process
For this character, I began with a concept for a high-tech valkyrie. I did some free sketching, imagining a powerful woman with luxurious proportions and a larger-than-life personality. I decided to give her a hammer, a high-impact melee weapon that compliments her style and attitude.
At this stage I felt like I had a good grasp on the basics of her armor, but I wanted to find a more expressive pose. As I worked, I kept pushing her shapes to find the most dynamic arrangement.
I expanded my original idea, trying out different armor and outfit styles, focusing on her hair and its impact on her silhouette.
